T-Bob & I were on the water around 3pm. Both on BIG gear. The wind started filling in nicely around 3:30 and I had to go in to get my 5.6.....and wow, was it fun. I find it hard to believe that the gusts were only 21 mph (per the Bird wind readings) - I'd believe 25 mph gusts. I found out that if I let off the outhaul so the Hucker touches the boom, it really boosts the power range. It felt like a 6.0 today and it was working great on the 110 Sonic. I sailed till almost 6pm and it was still windy. Much better than yesterday but fewer sailors. The forecast wasn't as good as the what transpired. | ||
