Looked bleak when I arrived so I rigged the 8.0 because Fritz was planning on a 9.0. The wind came up pretty nicely and a few times I was wishing I was on the 6.6, but the 8.0 worked amazingly well - I put a lot of downhaul on it and it really proved it's amazing range because I should have been overpowered but I wasn't.
Tried the first series of slalom races - did pretty good on the first race - came in 4th and didn't fall on any of the jibes. We (Bob & I) couldn't stay on the slalom course so we just started blasting around - so much fun! This was the first time EVER that I was on a bigger sail than T-Bob - he rigged down to a 7.8 when the wind came up and I was too lazy to re-rig and stayed on an 8.0. It's a good thing Robert McG wasn't there or T-Bob would never hear the end of it.
