On the water at 2pm and I immediately knew the 78 ltr JP with the 4.8 Hucker was way too much - so I put the 4.8 on the 65 ltr and that worked better but still overpowered. Rigged the 4.2 and although it was a handful in the gusts (mid-30's), it was a lot more enjoyable to sail. Went across the ICW once but as the wind built, it started feeling kinda scary to get so far from the launch, so I did a lot of runs to Island #1. Alex sailed quite a while before I arrived but he went out for a couple of runs when I launched - he catapulted and went through his sail (5.2) which ended his day. I told him to take the 4.8 because I was rigging down but he said all he needed to do was go through my sail! He said he was quiting while he was ahead and not injured. It was pretty radical and very choppy. The Radical Wave was really fun to sail today. | ||
