It was blowing hard in town - on my way to Bird I was thinking about what I might rig today - 3.7 Hucker? Wow, that would be cool. But when I arrived, several sailors were coming off the water and the report wasn't good. So I rigged the 4.8 with minimum downhaul and although it worked great in the gusts, it just wasn't enough plus I was seriously under-fined.
The best part is I made the 500 mile goal for the 1st quarter of the year.
The worst part was getting stung on the leg by a yellow jacket. The damn thing was in my wetsuit and goy me good when I slipped my leg into the suit. Thankfully I had some benedryl tablets from the last bite I got at Bird (a spider that time I think).
