All day, diligently doing my tasks at work, occassionally checking Internet posts of wind speeds at different locations LOOKING GOOD ALL OVER!!! - thinking to myself - ah, I'll be out there at 5 o'clock! My last appointment of the day ended at 4:50pm, so I headed straight for Cole Park from downtown via Shoreline Drive. As I rounded the bend on Ocean Drive I saw that lime-green sail of Tom Seymour's raked and ripping. Heart pounding! When I jumped out of the van, the report was that Tamay headed out on a 4.2 - YAHOO!!! So I quickly rigged my 4.8. So excited! First Bay session this year!! Myself, Chuck and Louie hit the water at about the same time. The take-off from the shore felt promising. The farther out I got, the worse the wind was - I kept going - thinking the wind is out there - keep going. Nope. I feel lucky to have crawled back. Myself, Chuck and Louie came off the water at the same time too - sad faces. Worked all day and missed the best wind. I'm still hoping for a session tomorrow. I'm really counting on it!
