Found a great new location! Was invited by jlc and indeed Waikowhai is a great spot. A rare gem for Auckland: consistent winds. And great to learn jumping. Choppy, but unlike Bucklands Beach sailable, more like Coniver Grove. Channel has some swell, after that it was quite flat.

Halfway I rerigged from the 6.2 to the 5.2 as I thought the wind would increase. But it didn't, dropped actually, so that was a bad move. So that's why it's just an 8 instead of 10. But will definitively be back there. This is a great spot.

The only issue is that the beach is very sheltered. A windmeter is useless, you can't really tell the wind, you have to look at the swell and foam and such.
