Brilliant light blue water colour at Bucklands Beach. Sunny. Great.

Bit more trouble getting accross the ferry lane. Wind was west, so head to go upwind. Fell a third of the way due to lack of wind, and saw a ferry coming. Decided to go back a bit, was easier with this wind. After the ferry passed, I crossed the channel fairly easily with enough wind.

Wind was quite uneven and certain gusts where west and the next one was south. Usually a gust was long enough to get going at high speed for a few hundred metres and just before you wanted to get into the jibe, the wind died a bit. But managed two very nice jibes. Have to flip the sail very fast, that seems to help a lot. Also managed a slow jibe, starting from a non-planing position.

Getting back was also a bit harder, but because the wind wasn't too strong anymore I managed to go downwind and just keeping the sail perpendicular to the board. Still feel my arms from that. But anyway, after crossing the channel I managed to slog nicely to the point of departure.
