Excellent afternoon, really consistent 18/19 knots of wind. I beared away accross the shipping lane like a pro. Didn't fall off, although I didn't dare to get in the footstraps, my primary concern was to cross the channel as fast as possible. With almost Southerly winds that wasn't too hard and went really quickly.

And then I was off, nice runs up and down. And I made two of my jibes, but fell numerous others. But it felt really good to make my first jibes of the year. Need as much time as possible with the Carve 99 this year, hopefully I get to the point of consistent jibing.

One other person was trying to learn to jibe as well, sort of my level, one spectecular crash after another, probably how I look as well. But it's good to see people out there who are learning. Sometimes I feel I'm the only one and everyone else is just at the pro-level.

It seems we'll have a windy year in Auckland. If I'd had the time I could have windsurfed for the last 10 days. But alas, trying to built up my own company.
