Sailed at Auckland, Bucklands Beach
Board: Starboard Carve 99 2004 Wood Sail: NP Saber 6.2 2005 Fin: Drake Freeride 320 Suit: XCel 4/3 infinity x-zip. Fridaynight session, quite nice. Low tide, so I couldn't go to the opposite side, but crossing the channel proved not to be hard. Just one run north, water start and run back, another water start and I was at the safe side. Had some nice blasting up and down, didn't make any of my jibes. I was better than that last year. I also tried a couple of times to pull up my sail, but didn't manage that yet. But I'm now sure it is doable on this board. Just keep on practising. |
