With my 8.5 gone, it still looked fairly ok for the NP 7.2 At least http://www.windsurf.co.nz/windsurf_weather_alk.asp , the Auckland wind page, said it was 13 knots. But at Coniver Grove it was basically 6 or 7 knots.

So I went home. Looking at the wind page again, it still looked ok. But the wind at Bucklands Beach was coming more from the West, so I went their with just the small gear. But unfortunately it was just 11 knots or so. At best.

So drive home. At home it seemed I had lost one shoe, perhaps it had fallen out of the car when I opened the boot to get my windmeter? So drive back to Bucklands Beach, 25 minutes one way. Didn't see the shoe. So back again. Found the shoe, stuck in my harness. Argghhh.
