Dawn patrol landed us a great spot to park. We rigged up, and it was great. Uncrowded, good wind, good swell. Then it started to build. We next decided to get breakfast in Hood River. After a really nice meal, we went back out to sail more. The wind had really built up by now. No longer 5.2 weather, Mike loaned me his 4.3m2. The smallest sail I have sailed to date. I got humbled very quickly. These were the strongest conditions I have sailed in.

Mike went out on a 3.9m2. He attempted a shove-it in the strong winds and took a hard fall from high up and ended up rupturing his tympanic membrane of his left ear. After an ER visit, we watched a long and very good fireworks display from the front porch of the house we are staying at. The antihistamine and beer were kicking my a$$, and I almost slept through it.
