Another day at Grassy. This time, it was honking when I got there so I rigged the 5.4 Infinity (on consecutive days I've sailed the 7.8, 6.6 and now 5.4!). The 5.4 rigged beautifully, as did the others previously. But, I took it out and it was fluky. I think these new sails are a different "size" than old ones. What I mean is, an old 6.5, because it didn't twist and spill wind as efficiently, was a true 6.5. A current mid-6 is more like a 6.0 because it twists off a lot. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'll say this, the old Sailworks race sails had a lot better low-end side by side for the sizes. | ||
