I did my memorial day yard work, and then hit the road to Windy Point. It looked beautiful when I got there through my sunglasses. There were whitecaps, and the water looked really blue. Not quite as blue without the Kaenons, but still beautiful. I brought my formula gear thinking that was going to be the call, but it looked better than that. I rigged the C145/MS2 8.5m2. Initially, I really struggled. My AO cleat slid down the boom. Fixed that. Still having problems planing, so I let off some downhaul and moved base back. That got me moving. Wind was definitely less than it looked because of the motorboat traffic. I did get some nice rides though. Lots of turtles swimming today. Saw some babies too. I thought about Josh Whitman today. Lots of police boats, still felt like Frogger out in the channel. It was hot, the water felt so good. I was looking for reasons to fall in. Formula was really the call today, but I prefer to ride the Carve whenever possible. Jibing is way more fun. | ||
