It was pretty windy, so at the suggestion of a fellow windsurfer I tried the 4.0. Unfortunately I hadn't inserted the two piece mast correctly, so when I tried to make a beach start, the end of the top piece of the mast broke. Hole in mastsleeve as well. Hadn't noticed it, because I never use this sail. Arrghh.

Back to the beach but one fellow windsurfer had some tape, so I put the top back on and taped the end so it wouldn't damage the sail any further. This was quite ok, it seems I can use much smaller sails with my Starboard Carve. Definitely need a 5.2.

Still need to get the mast replaced or perhaps just saw a piece away or so. Bummer.
