A great day! Mostly 22-24, gusting to 30. I was on the 6.5, flattened, the whole time and it was mostly good. I was having some control problems for awhile, but finally figured out what it was. When I rake my sail back and get in the straps, the clew/tack sometimes gets wet from chop or my wake. I came in, raised the mast base about two inches and -- CONTROL in the gusts!

I felt a bit overpowered on the older sail, but not too bad. I wasn't pushing the accelerator all the way to the floor, though. If I had, I might have exploded or spun out. Maybe I'll become more comfortable with this prospect soon.

If I was on my 6.5 and mostly comfortable in 22-24 gusting to 30, I don't know if I'll ever need anything smaller than a 5.5 around here.
