The STPK was the perfect board. (only my 2nd time on it and I'm already liking it A LOT!) I started on the 4.2 Hucker, but it was a lot to handle in the 35mph gusts, so I sailed the 3.7 Hucker for quite a while - which was great except a bit unpowered in the 25 mph "lulls". Then I went back to the 4.2 and had a really good session. The fin box on the STPK is too tight and the only fin I could use was the stock fin, which fits just fine. The stock fin was actually fine with the 3.7 sail, but gave me numerous spinouts when I went back to the 4.2 & on runs to island #1. Return runs were fine & no spinouts. I'll have to use some sandpaper on the fin box so I can start using some other fins with the STPK. It was a BIG DAY! I'm glad T-Bob had this day since he's hitting the road again tomorrow. | ||
