Had a good time sailing with Mitchell. We bought a harness for him today and he took it out. He didn't get hooked in a lot, but it was pretty windy. He was on the 3.5 and the Equipe. I helped him correct a problem with his sailing technique and next windy session should give him more chances to use the harness. There was another boy, probably about 10, who was in the straps and harness, and about a 2.5 out today.

I was on the Allstar and the 6.6 Infinity. I wanted to sail with Mitchell so I stuck with the 6.6 instead of the more appropriate 7.8. I was also hoping for a chance on the Carve 99, so that played into the rigging choice. I can't believe I've had these Infinities for four seasons now! I had fun on the Allstar, but longed to try out the Carve 99 I just bought with the 6.6, which will be my dominate combination. It worked pretty well, even though it had died quite a lot by the time I'd gone out. I never topped 20, but I did okay on a few runs, slogged a lot on others. I feels so much like the 111 that it's hard to believe they are different. I could probably uphaul the 99 if I had to. I tacked it a couple of times, but still didn't jibe it perfectly. I think it's just that I'm a little off somehow. I'm happy with it, and it should be a good board for bump and jump on the bay, too.

I plan to hit BIB again tomorrow. I've been able to take some vacation time and relieve some stress. It's been nice.
